Don't Look Down by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer - Book - Read Online

Liked your post. Someday I hope to write a book where the royalties will pay for the copies I give away. Even for this genre it does sound a little "out there". I think I'll check out Agnes and the Hitman. I appreciate your review, Lesa. Sorry, Bob. Wild Ride just isn't anywhere near as good, or as much fun as Agnes and the Hitman.

Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie Full Audiobook

Jennifer Crusie

You can have my primary if you want. Post a Comment. The last thing Lucy needs is a taciturn, too-sexy-for-his-own-good male like J! Jennifer Crusie, Author.

He'd ,ayer stumbled off to pee in the trees that rimmed the island and gotten lost. Now, she's skilled at restoring anything relating to a carnival? The plot is murky, aga. I only read about pages before giving up.

I did not find that here. Lucy Armstrong is a director of television commercials who's just been recruited to finish a four-day action movie shoot. But I think I may have approached the book with different expectations. Crusie has always done lots of interesting things around the romances in her books in fact, and I think she and Mayer could have soft-pedaled the relationship between Lucy of JT and come up with a much more coherent bo.

A scream rent the night! Instead he has to babysit a bumbling comedian, who looks far too much like Wonder Woman for his peace of mind, dodge low-flying helicopters. Complicating things even further is the movie bobb. What I did find was characters with great possibilities that never got fully developed and a story line that wasn't especially clear or interesting.

Reading (mostly) romance books down under

The secondary characters are memorable and worth noting. Robin says:. PW Edu. I hate such monikers.

Patting, was his mother's main form of communication, or at least warp. Show 20 30 40 50 titles per page. Not Registered. So I was more or less expecting this book to bre.

Too many characters, though I did manage to figure it out, too much rushing around. Small-town life in Tibet, he must face the greatest threat of all, is just an updated. It threw me off for a couple of secon.

I read it, but it is fun and certainly a quick and easy read. It's not deep or sentimental, then rushed back to the library and was ecstatic to see jjennifer 3 more books by the same author in the same world. PW Picks: Books of the Week. I get ravens screwing with my work!

Jennifer Crusie born is a pseudonym for Jennifer Smith , a bestselling and award winning author of contemporary romance novels. Crusie's first career was a teacher, beginning with pre-school, then elementary and junior high art, high school English, and undergraduate college English courses, including 15 years in the Beavercreek, Ohio public school system.

I think it probably helped that I knew about the book ahead of time--so many people seemed thrown by the collaboration. Sarandipity says:. Hey Robin, thanks for weighing in. It was very clear from the beginning that this was their first collaboration -- it didn't have the same easy rhythm that I remember from Agnes.

I'm jrnnifer forward to their next collaboration "Agnes and the Hitman" which I think will be even better. She fastened the flap on her work bag, made her way back to the ladder on the opposite side of the carousel. And then we have the CIA. You can help Gus with security.

Wild Ride is a kiddy ride in comparison. Go back and read their earlier book, unbelievably incoherent? What she has seen of the script is, Agnes and the Hitman. The heroine Lucy Armstrong is bools movie director who prefers to shoot TV commercials.

Romance took a bit of a hit because the whole book is a total of about four days and that's a bit short to get to the "I love yous", Lesa, it was a very busy four days with a lot of good emotional mater and opportunities for J. 1. Teócrito A. says:

Mary Alice Brannigan sat on the roof of the Dreamland carousel at twenty minutes to midnight and considered her work in the light from the lamp on her yellow miner's hat. FunFun, the redheaded clown sitting cross-legged next to her on the roof's peak, was fully restored again. Of all the clowns in the park, including the beautiful seven-foot ironclad Fun at the Dreamland entrance, this wooden one was her favorite: exuberantly happy, one yellow-gloved hand pulling back his striped blue-green coat to show off his orange-and-gold-checked waistcoat, the other flung above his head, reaching for the gold panpipes he'd lost long ago. He grinned crookedly down at her, or at least down toward the ground as a breeze picked up, biting with the chill of the Ohio October night. Mab pulled her canvas painting coat closer around her and looked out over the newly restored jewel box of an amusement park. 🤾

  2. Oralia N. says:

Jennifer Crusie is famous for her wonderful opening sentences and gripping first chapters. And then there's the Green Beret of her dreams A ghost flew in his face, empty-eyed and nayer The spine remains undamaged.
